Linda founded Chegworth Valley with her husband David in 1983, moving out of London where she had worked for BP Chemicals prior to starting their newsagent business.
During the last 30 years she has been involved with all aspects of running and developing the farm and has built up an enviable knowledge of fruit and vegetable farming practices and juice production. She has also been instrumental in establishing Chegworth Valley’s presence at farmers’ markets.
While Linda has now taken a step back from day-to-day farming activities, she is still involved in overall planning and troubleshooting and runs a farmers’ market once a week, enabling her to stay in touch with customers and understand their views and opinions firsthand.
Linda spends much of her spare time helping to look after her grandchildren and enjoys walking, dancing and Pilates whenever possible. Her other interests include current affairs and history.
