David bought the farm in 1983 with his wife Linda, selling their London newsagent and taxi business and moving to Kent with no previous farming expertise. A self- confessed graduate of the University of Life, David set up and established Chegworth Valley with his wife Linda, planting the first apple orchards and introducing the farm’s first juicing press.
Today he is still very much involved in the day-to-day running and continued success of the farm and is greatly respected for his overall farming knowledge and expertise and his troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
While David’s overriding passion will always be Chegworth Valley and his family, he is also a keen traveler with America and Asia among his favourite destinations and some of the few Carribean Islands that he hasn’t yet been to at the top of his bucket list for future travel.
