Like Ben, Charlotte started working for the family business at an early age, helping David and Linda at farmers markets from age of 11. On leaving school, she studied graphic design at university, graduating in 2006 before starting to work full-time at Chegworth Valley, where she now jointly oversees the running and development of the farm with Ben.
In addition to planning, overseeing planting and harvests and managing both full-time and seasonal staff, Charlotte runs all Chegworth Valley’s social media activity and has a particular passion for growing the vegetables and herbs that are sold on Chegworth Valley stalls at farmers markets. She has recently also introduced growing flowers on the farm for the first time and loves the outdoor life and meeting the wide variety of different people that her role brings her into contact with.
Charlotte spends as much of her time outside of work as possible with her husband and young children, travelling to new places or enjoying the beautiful Kent countryside on her doorstep. She also a keen reader of anything to do with agriculture and floristry.
